Good Faith Estimate
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, if you do not have health insurance, or you have insurance but choose not to use it for sessions with YF Psychology LLC, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of what your care is expected to cost.
A Good Faith Estimate shows the expected total cost of non-emergency services, based on what we know when it is prepared. It is not a contract, and it does not require you to begin or continue therapy with us.
Session fees
- Initial intake session (60 minutes): $250 [CPT 90791]
- Individual therapy session (45 minutes): $250 [CPT 90834]
- 15-minute consultation call: free
What your estimate will include
- The fee and billing code for each service
- The expected number and frequency of sessions, usually weekly, estimated for up to 12 months
- The diagnosis or reason for services, if known
- The provider’s name, credentials, address and contact information
Therapy is different for everyone, and the number of sessions depends on your goals and progress. If your care or our fees change, we will give you an updated estimate.
When you will receive it
- Before your first appointment: if you are uninsured or self-pay, you will receive your estimate in writing before your intake session.
- Anytime you ask: you can request an estimate before scheduling. We will provide it within 3 business days of your request.
- Keep a copy: please save a copy or a photo of your estimate.
If your bill is higher than your estimate
If you are billed at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your rights, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
